GEIGER, the specialist for sun protection systems, has further developed its GJ56 series that has been proven successful millions of times over. The motors, which are manufactured in the Swabian town of Bietigheim-Bissingen, are available with a torque of 3, 6, 10 or 20 Nm, depending on the application. The electronic control permanently ensures a precise approach to the end positions by referencing and protects the blind and the lift tapes from damage due for example to freezing or obstacles. With the Comfort version, the desired degree of shading can also be set.
The GJ56.. Series motors have been top sellers at GEIGER for over 20 years. The benchmark drive for Venetian blinds impresses with its smooth running, low energy consumption and long running time. The 56 mm slim and up to 362 mm long motor can be quickly and easily integrated into any standard head rail with tool-free mounting kits. The end positions are set with a standard adjustment cable or the overrun limit switch.
"For the electronic control of the new generation GJ56.. E14, we have developed the hardware and software completely in-house. This reinforces our competitive position and our flexibility - also with regard to supply chains," explains Managing Director Roland Kraus. "It has overload detection that reliably prevents the blind from being damaged. On request, automatic referencing takes place after 5, 20 and then every 50 cycles to control the upper end position accurately to the millimetre, even after years."
GEIGER's integrated overrun limit switch can optionally be used as a reference point for slat length compensation. Otherwise, it functions like an "emergency button" and stops the blind in order to reduce faulty operation of the sensitive Venetian blinds to a minimum. With the Comfort variant of the GJ56.. E14, an intermediate position and the slat position can also be programmed in order to individually adjust the degree of shading of the Venetian blinds.
The new GJ56.. E14 models will be available from the second quarter of 2022.
