All under one roof solution

Two innovative medium-sized companies combine their strengths: Geiger Antriebstechnik, the manufacturer of sun protection drives in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany and the Smart Home expert Loxone Electronics GmbH in Kollerschlag, Austria have entered into a strategic alliance.

The future of the sun protection is a key issue for both international companies. The combination of high quality GEIGER motors with the Loxone Smart Home system puts an end to inefficient isolated solutions in building automation. The control via a central Miniserver connects all functions together inside the building: lighting, heating, alarm, multimedia and sun protection. The intelligent automation is here completely independent.“Together we create a thinking sun protection!" assures Dr Marc Natusch, CEO of GEIGER. The tubular motors SOLIDline AIR, the hand and wall transmitters for the classic operation are now available. The GEIGER Venetian blind motors GJ56-AIR will be launched by mid-2016. All GEIGER AIR products feature bidirectional radio and the Smart Home intelligence from Loxone. Through the integration into the precise cross- functional control, the sun protection of the future is more and more an automated light controller and energy saver with a high enjoyment and feel-good factor. With the owner-managed shooting star Loxone, GEIGER has found a dynamic partner for further product development: the company has grown since it was founded in 2009 and is today market leader with over 33.000 realized Smart Homes. Loxone CEO Martin Öller is also convinced: “Together with GEIGER we will further expand our leading role in the control and automation of sun protection."
